Stanford Valley is all about terroir. We make classical styled wines – using exclusively our own grapes – with minimal intervention – pure, elegant and balanced – ideal for food pairing. Natural low pH contributes to good aging potential.

Lieverd Chenin Blanc 2023:
Winemaking: Meticulous sorting in vineyard ; Wholebunch pressing; Barrel fermentation; French oak barrels, 50% new oak, rest older barrels; Partial malolactic fermentation on part of the wine, 6 months barrel aging prior to bottling, 6 months bottle aging prior to release
Description: Chenin Blanc from a cool terroir with green apple and honey notes, and a bright mineral freshness. Easy to enjoy, solo or with a meal.

Eersteling Syrah/Grenache Noir 2022:
Winemaking: Meticulous sorting in vineyard; 100% destemmed; Two thirds crushed; One third whole berry; Fermented in open 600L French oak barrels; Aged for 18 months in 225L French oak barrels – one third new oak; Also available in magnum
Description: A blend of Syrah and Grenache grown in a cool terroir which enhances the elegance and pure expression of the fruit. There are red and black berries, a subtle earthy tone and delicate pepperiness on a firm palate for satisfying drinking.
